The Award is given to a faculty member who embodies the principle of UJIMA: Collective Work and Responsibility; the third of seven principles of Kwanzaa. In addition, the recipient of the award is a role model and mentor for students and supports the African American and Black community on and off campus. Beware: Phone Scam Targets UTSA Employees ________________________________ OIT Announcement | OIT Connect The Office of Information Security wants you to be aware of a phone scam impacting our community. UTSA employees have received phone calls on both work and personal phone numbers from individuals claiming to be Microsoft support representatives. The caller states that they are aware of a problem with the UTSA employee’s computer and need information about the machine, including the IP address, in order to provide technical support. Outside support vendors working with UTSA do not contact faculty or staff members directly. If you receive a call asking for information about your computer and have any doubts whatsoever, do not provide any details to the caller.
