[San Antoinio Writing Project Group Photo]
by JO ANN JONES, COEHDPublished: 07/08
The clicking of keys and the scratching of pen across paper created a quiet buzz that
filled the air. Tables spread out around the room were filled with teachers from all walks
of life. Some of them taught in elementary schools while others in middle or high schools.
Four of them, however, traveled thousands of miles from countries around the world to come
to UTSA’s College of Education and Human Development and the San Antonio Writing Project
(SAWP).

The explosive release of Pokémon Go has naturally hit campuses as searches often lead
people to the well-known landmarks that dot schools nationwide. “Big campuses are where
it’s at,” says Neil Schott, a junior at Foothill College in Palo Alto, Calif. “I spent my
whole day off going to Stanford University and Foothill College playing Pokémon Go. We
went to major areas we knew of that would have bigger landmarks.”

justice reform advocates are both finding ammunition in the report.
