AAUW encourages college and university students of all ages to apply to serve on the
National Student Advisory Council
(SAC)<http://www.aauw.dev/what-we-do/campus-programs/national-student-advisory-council/>
for the 2013-14 academic year. The 10 students selected as SAC members will have the
unique opportunity to advise a national women's organization on the needs of college
students, to hone and grow their leadership skills, to network with amazing student
leaders and distinguished women nationwide, and to attend two leadership events in the
Washington, D.C., area.
Applicant Qualifications
* Student Advisory Council members must meet the following qualifications:
* Attend a two- or four-year accredited institution
* Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0
* Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, planning, and writing skills
* Have student leadership experience
* Understand and be genuinely interested in women's equality issues
* Be eager to network and exchange ideas on the monthly conference calls, via
e-mail and Facebook, in person at the National Conference for College Women Student
Leaders (

Students at one of our over 800 college/university partner member
