The African American Studies Program presents Community Conversations on Race and Education II featuring Dr. Denise Taliaferro Baszile, Associate Professor and Director, Diversity Initiatives, Miami University (OH). Dr. Taliaferro Baszile will provide a guest lecture entitled "Where is the Love? Some Thoughts on Educating for Social Justice In/Through/Against Academia". This event will take place Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm in the Peter T. Flawn Science Building , 2.03.12. The guest lecture will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists are Dr. Janee Avent, Assistant Professor, Department of Counseling, ReAnna S. Roby, Doctoral Fellow, Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching, TaSonia Hendrix, Wells Fargo, and Anna Frederick, Curriculum Specialist (Special Education), San Antonio ISD.
