Dear Research Faculty and Colleagues, I am pleased to announce that Mr. Michael C. Wood will be joining UTSA as the new Director and Mr. Jesse P. Hernandez will serve as the new Assistant Director of the Research Service Center for the Colleges of Health Community and Policy, Education and Human Development, Business, and Liberal and Fine Arts (RSC-HEBA). They will be starting on April 1. Michael hails from the University of Florida and Texas A&M, where he acquired tremendous experience in sponsored projects, especially in pre-award. Jesse, who has been with UTSA Research since 2009, brings years of RSC experience; he is familiar with faculty and highly knowledgeable about their interests and research portfolios. I would like to take the opportunity to thank those who have served on the search committee and provided their time and input to the process and its successful completion.
