Undergraduate Research Day, Applications Due April 11th
by Rosalind Horowitz
8 April 2014
Dear COEHD Colleagues,
This is a reminder that applications for the Inaugural UTSA Undergraduate Research Day, scheduled for April 24th
are due April 11th, Friday. Research presented may be ongoing or completed including posters or talks, multi-media presentations or other activities.
Only a 200 word abstract describing undergraduate research with a faculty sponsor is required.
The Goal: Increase Visibility for Undergraduate Participation in Research across all areas of Academic Inquiry.
See the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) cite, under the vice President for Research Division, for details.
The actual event occurs on Thursday, April 24th, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the 1604 Campus, University Center
and surrounding area-Ballrooms, Meeting Rooms, and Walkways.
We are enthusiastic about involving undergraduates in the first such event, as presenters or attendees.
Many faculty may wish to offer extra credit to those students attending, for writing commentaries, interpretations or analyses of a poster or talk.
This is a university-wide event including representation from all colleges.
I hope you can contribute with undergraduate COEHD students in what promises to be a very exciting research opportunity!
With warmest regards, and on behalf of the University-wide Committee,
Rosalind Horowitz
