The UTSA College of Education and Human Development will be closed from Monday, Dec. 25 through Monday, Jan. 1. We will return on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Principal Street and BRG Exit/Entrance Partial Closures<http://education.utsa.edu/awards_announcements/article/principal_street_a...>
Principal Street will be partially closed off, weather permitting, from December 27, 2017 through December 29, 2017 as part of the BRG tile replacement project. The BRG south exit and entrance will also be closed during this time to accommodate equipment that will be used in the removal of the overhead wall tile. Flaggers will also be posted in and around the road closure to assist with traffic. For additional information, contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.

Join the UTSA Contingent, open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families as we march in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the citywide march. The City of San Antonio has sponsored this march on the eastside of the city down MLK Drive since 1987. It is now one of the country's largest marches calling for peace and equity in the country on this day of honor with over 300,000 participants annually. The 2017 Theme for the MLK march and celebration in Pittman park is: King's legacy for peace is justice for all. Remember! Celebrate! Act!

December 2017 Commencement: Faculty Participant Instructions for Ceremony 2

Dear Faculty Member Participating in Commencement Ceremony #2:
Additional Instructional Information for Arriving at the Alamodome (for you as the major professor ONLY): Please report to the Alamodome Meeting Room C/D by 3:00 p.m. to robe in your academic regalia (see attached layout). Shuttles will be provided from both the Main and Downtown campuses for all faculty. Please be sure to arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. to ride the shuttle to the Alamodome. The shuttle will also leave the ceremony no later than 6:30 p.m. (see included instruction sheet).
Enter the Alamodome through the South entrance loading dock (see attached layout). You will pass through a security check-point and will be subject to a bag check and security scan prior to entering the building. Additionally, the Alamodome has implemented a Clear Bag Policy that limits the size and type of bags permitted. Please review the attached flyer. You will be able to bring your regalia into the Alamodome inside a standard regalia bag provided you bring your UTSA ID card with you. Additional bags and/or purses are subject to the Clear Bag Policy.
The major professors will robe in Meeting Room C/D on the lowest level. There will be signs and UTSA Ambassadors to assist you. You will then move to Meeting Room N to meet up with your doctoral student by 3:30 p.m.

Dear Faculty Member Participating in Commencement:
Thank you for your positive response to Dr. C. Mauli Agrawal's memorandum inviting your participation in the University's December 2017 Commencement.
The faculty for the College of Architecture, Construction and Planning, College of Education and Human Development, College of Liberal and Fine Arts, and University College will need to assemble no later than 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Alamodome.
The Commencement ceremony processional will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. in the Alamodome.
A preliminary program/instruction sheet is attached for your reference that includes information on shuttle service being provided for all faculty participants.
