UTSA alumni Danny Rubalcaba '13 (left) and Sam Noyola '13 (right) are inviting you to work out to raise money for scholarships at UTSA.
Dear COEHD Faculty & Staff:
Did you hear? We're trying to raise $24K in ONE DAY for scholarships, and you can help! Will you join the ALIO Fitness-On Challenge to provide opportunities for kinesiology students at UTSA?
Late nights and long days—it was hard work to earn our Bachelor of Science degrees at UTSA. Thanks in part to scholarships, we made it. Now we're the proud owners of ALIO, a premiere fitness club in San Antonio.
We are establishing the ALIO Fitness Club Scholarship to help the next generation of exercise science majors graduate ready to help others. You can help them, too, by participating in a unique fitness event.
On July 20-21, we'll be hosting the ALIO Fitness-On Challenge<https://giving.utsa.edu/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fgiving.utsa.edu%2f...>, an event that will raise money by training 24 different groups over 24 consecutive hours. We invite you or your company to join the challenge by making a gift and signing up for an hour workout.
Will you help provide opportunities for kinesiology students? The deadline has been extended to Friday, July 21.
Sincerely,
Sam Noyola '13 and Danny Rubalcaba '13

TaskStream email
by Belinda Flores
Dear Colleagues, thank you to all who were able to attend last week’s TaskStream presentation. One major concern has been the need to use two separate systems—one for grading and another for gathering data for different accrediting agencies. Based on the presentation, TaskStream is able to function from within BB. I am attaching a ppt that demonstrates BB integration with TaskStream for your review.
I encourage you to contact colleagues at other universities and speak to them about LiveText and TaskStream. We will be making a decision shortly and want to make the best informed decision. Please feel free to forward any comments my way or to directly contact Colleen at TaskStream.

Canceled: TaskStream Meeting
by Belinda Flores
Update: Please note that the day and time of the meeting is Friday July, 7, 2017 at 1:00pm in JPL 4.04.22.
Dear Colleagues,
We have been exploring different assessment and accreditation tools that will help us with SACs and outside agencies reporting.
During the spring, we had a Live Text presentation and it is a much improved version as compared to version we used to have. We do not have to enter data into a separate system; once we identify key assignments, we just enter our grades into blackboard and the program uploads grades and assignments for SACs and/or outside agency accountability. It also is a great tool for curriculum mapping.
A similar system is Task Stream; I have asked other universities about their experiences with Task Stream and I have had several individuals reporting positive feedback about ease of use and support from company.
We will be having a Task Stream presentation on July 7, 2017 at 1:00pm in JPL 4.04.22. We invite all faculty and staff to join us. We especially encourage those of you who are chairs, coordinators, GARs, or anyone responsible for SACs/agency reporting to attend.
Here is a link for you to review: https://www1.taskstream.com/
I also encourage you to check with colleagues at other universities and see which of these assessment and accountability systems they use. Please share that information with me.
After this presentation, we will compare merits and weaknesses of both in order to make a decision as to which system to purchase. We will begin piloting in the Fall with those departments/programs that already have external agency accreditation.
Dr. DelliCarpini is planning to purchase system so that our students do not incur further costs.
I look forward to seeing you on Thursday July 7, 2017 at 1pm in JPL 4.04.22. Please confirm your acceptance so that we can have a head count and know who is in attendance.
Thanks!
