Dear Colleagues,
The UTSA COEHD will have lots to celebrate at the TABE 2022 Awards Luncheon. Last week we congratulated Dr. Sarah De La Garza for receiving the TABE 2022 Dissertation Award.
I am happy to share that Dr. Monica Medina (ELPS M.Ed. & Ph.D. alumna) received Third Place for the TABE 2022 Dissertation Award. I was honored to have served as chairperson of her dissertation committee. Dr. Medina is a Dual Language Coordinator with SAISD.

FW: Important RSC Update: Grants.gov Downtime, Impacts Proposals due Sept. 23-30

Subject: Important RSC Update: Grants.gov Downtime, Impacts Proposals due Sept. 23-30
Good morning Drs. Bonner, Sanchez, Sosa, and Yeager,
Please share this important update with your faculty and staff:
Grants.gov will be migrated to the cloud over a period of 1 week - between Friday, September 23 and Friday, September 30, 2022.
No applications can be submitted to or through Grants.gov during this week, including those prepared in Cayuse. UTSA, as you know, utilizes Cayuse, a system-to-system submission portal, for submissions into Grants.gov.
What this means for us as a Cayuse user:
Applications can still be developed in Cayuse during the Grants.gov outage. However, PIs or RSC staff will need to have downloaded an application package into Cayuse prior to September 23, if they would like to work on a new application during this outage. Otherwise, application packages will not be available for download again until after September 30, 2022.
NIH and AHRQ due dates that fall on or between Thursday, September 22, and Friday, September 30, 2022 will move to October 3, 2022. NIH has provided the following information regarding this issue:
* Adjustments to NIH and AHRQ Grant Application Due Dates Between September 22 and September 30, 2022<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgrants....>
* Extended Grants.gov Downtime Impacts September 22-30 Due Dates<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fnexus.o...>
There may be other federal sponsors who will not move their due dates to accommodate the Grants.gov downtime. If this is the case for your upcoming application, you must plan to submit your application before September 22. Please remember that proposals must be prepared for routing through the RSC at least two (2) business days before the deadline. If you must use September 22 as your deadline, then your complete final draft proposal should be submitted to the RSC for routing by 8:30am on September 20.
If you have any questions about this please contact your RSC at: rsc-abe(a)utsa.edu<mailto:rsc-abe@utsa.edu> or rsc.sci-eng(a)utsa.edu<mailto:rsc.sci-eng@utsa.edu>

Sandra
