Dear COEHD community:
By now all of you are aware of disturbing news that continues to unfold regarding one of our faculty members. I wanted to make you aware actions have been taken to ensure all affected students are supported academically and personally. More, because of the emotional and mental effects such circumstances can pose on our community, we are working to make available counseling resources to faculty, staff, and students. I wish to thank Dr. Ann Marie Ryan, Dr. Tiffany Farias-Sokoloski, Renee Tondre-Garza, and others for taking immediate action to manage a very difficult, delicate, and fast evolving situation. Please be reminded that any inquiries you receive from news affiliates be directed to the UTSA communications link provided below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dear ILT Community,
You may have heard that yesterday our colleague, Dr. Haddad, was taken into custody by the FBI at UTSA’s Main Campus. Please note that UTSA has confirmed that he is under criminal investigation for charges unrelated to UTSA. This a difficult time for all of us and especially so for our students. We do not have any information other than this to share.
The Dean’s Office is working collaboratively with Dr. Farias-Sokoloski and I to be sure students, faculty, and staff are supported. Dr. Farias-Sokoloski and I are reassigning the roles and responsibilities including the courses that Dr. Haddad currently is assigned to. We appreciate those of you who have already reached out to be of assistance. We will be contacting others to help during this time as well.
