Subject: FW: Summer Becoming a Mentor @ UTSA Training Opportunity
Dear Colleagues:
We hope your summer is off to a great start! Johnelle and I wanted to advise you that we
will be offering a summer training session of Becoming a Mentor @ UTSA beginning Tuesday
July 6th. This is an exciting and engaging program structured to teach all faculty,
Tenure/Tenure Track and Fixed Term Track, the core competencies of being a great mentor.
We still have 10 spaces available, and ideally would like representation from all colleges
as our goal is that each college have mentor champions/subject matter experts in
mentoring. Please forward the information to those who may be interested in attending,
such as faculty currently in a mentor role, faculty who will be in a mentor role, and
those who are interested in honing their mentoring skills.
The series consists of six sessions; for three weeks we will offer two sessions a week.
The schedule follows:
* Tuesday July 6, 2021 Session 1 9:00am-11:30am (first session is 2.5
hours, the subsequent are 2 hours)
* Thursday July 8, 2021 Session 2 9:30am-11:30am
* Tuesday July 13, 2021 Session 3 9:30am-11:30am
* Thursday July 15, 2021 Session 4 9:30am-11:30am
* Tuesday July 20, 2021 Session 5 9:30am-11:30am
* Thursday July 22, 2021 Session 6 9:30am-11:30am
Please have any interested faculty contact Johnelle or myself to sign-up or to answer any
questions. We look forward to a great summer session!
Thanks in advance,
Johnelle and Judy
