Congratulations to a number of our BBL lead authors (Patricia Sánchez, Lucila Ek, &
Carmen Tafolla) and ILT lead authors (Mari Cortez, Miriam Martinez, & Maria
Arreguin-Anderson)—and their students-- who have an upcoming chapter in Clark, Flores,
Smith, & Gonzalez book! In addition to artwork by award-winning Duncan Tonatiuh, we
have original artwork and reflections throughout the book from Latino/Chicana artists.
Proud of all---as per Alma Flor Ada …. this the first Latino Children’s MC book
specifically targeting bilingual children and for preparing teachers that has a balance of
theory and practice.
