Hello,
Please see the attached flyer and message below on behalf of the PITCH Expanded Providers
team.
Greetings,
The University of Texas at San Antonio and UT Health's PITCH Expanded Providers team
would like to invite you to a FREE, virtual training “The Neurobiology of Addiction in
Adolescents and the Role of SBIRT” with guest speaker Muhammad Ali Chaudhary, MD on
Tuesday, June 24th, from 2-4pm CST.
Dr. Chaudhary is an Adolescent Addiction Medicine Physician and Assistant Professor at UT
San Antonio who specializes in the transition of care for youth with substance use
disorders. With extensive clinical and research experience and multiple peer-reviewed
publications, Dr. Chaudhary brings valuable insights into evidence-based addiction
treatment and policy.
We hope that you will join us on to learn about key aspects of adolescent brain
development, the neurobiological underpinnings of addiction vulnerability in adolescents,
the statistics on adolescent substance use in the United States, the implications of early
screenings, brief interventions, and referrals for care for adolescents.
2 FREE CME/CEUs will be available for LPCs, LMFTs, LMSWs, LCSWs, and other medical
professionals. Please register here if you plan on attending:
