Carmen, I can't tell you how proud this makes me feel. I am first proud of you, then of our city, of the university, of poetry. You above all others deserve this. And if you do half as well as you did as poet laureate for San Antonio, a role you created since you were the first, you will be tremendous. Muchissimas felicidades!
