This news is slowly getting around and search committee members have also begun to share
the information. As indicated below, a formal announcement by the university is
forthcoming that we have a new Dean for Fall 2016. In the meantime and since there is
widespread anticipation, I have received an ok to share this information sooner rather
than later with the COEHD listserve:
Dr. Margo DelliCarpini has accepted an appointment as COEHD Dean beginning Fall 2016
Additional details will no doubt be shared in the official announcement which is to come
within the next couple of days.

Subject: COEHD dean appointment
Dear Members of the COEHD Dean Search Committee,
I am delighted to inform you that our search has successfully concluded. Dr. Margo
DelliCarpini has accepted our offer to be the next Dean of Education and Human
Development, and will begin her appointment on August 1.
I want to thank you for your excellent work on the search. Your hard work and diligence
has been instrumental in helping us with this recruitment and I appreciate everything you
have done over the past seven months to achieve this outcome. We will be putting together
a formal announcement by the university in the next couple of days.
