Dear collleagues,
I wanted to share our SAVE THE DATE flyer for our upcoming UTSA MAS Teachers' Academy
which will take place June 22-25, 2020.
This four-day intensive is open to all secondary education teachers who are interested in
teaching the recently approved TXSBOE MAS social studies course, as well as pre-service
teachers and K-12 educators who are interested in learning about the philosophical
frameworks of Chicana/x/o Studies, the benefits of teaching ethnic studies, and
participatory and self-reflexive teaching/learning approaches in the field.
Please feel free to share this flyer widely with your teacher contacts and pre-service
students, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at
lilliana.saldana(a)utsa.edu. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Lilliana
