Good evening, colleagues:
I'm sharing a flyer for our upcoming MAS K-12 Professional Development workshop which
will be held at the UTSA Downtown Campus on March 23, 2019, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. This
workshop is an extension of our MAS summer academy and is a joint effort by UTSA's MAS
program, the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies Department, IDRA, and MAS
teachers of San Antonio.
Please feel free to share our flyer with your contacts and encourage your students and
educator colleagues/friends to register for this workshop. We're excited to have four
dynamic teacher-led sessions scheduled -- one in Mexican American literature (infusing
Anzaldúan autohistoria-teoria), math (centering maiz-based epistemology), visual art, and
social studies/Chicanx history. The workshop is free and open to K-12 teachers.
Participating teachers will also receive continuing education units.
Gracias for all of your support! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me
at lilliana.saldana(a)utsa.edu.
Sincerely,
Lilliana
