Subject: [LRA] AERA Congressional Fellowship
Have a sabbatical coming up? Interested in learning more about policy and advocacy? Want
to advocate for sound policy? The fellowship provides financial support so you can live in
DC for the year.
The American Educational Research Association invites applications for the AERA
Congressional Fellowship Program. This new program was launched in 2016 during AERA’s
Centennial year. The third cohort of fellows will commence a one-year fellowship in
September 2018.
The goals of the fellowship are: (1) to contribute to the effective use of scientific
knowledge about education in the formation of public policy; (2) to educate the scientific
community about the development of public policy; and (3) to establish a more effective
liaison between education researchers and federal policymakers.
The fellowship pays a competitive salary.
When
AERA is accepting fellowship applications. The deadline to apply was December 15, 2017.
The fellowship term starts on September 1, 2018 and ends on August 31, 2019.
Who
This fellowship is open to doctoral scientists from any discipline relevant to education
research. Researchers at all stages in their careers are encouraged to apply.
