[Coehd] Director of Clinical Professional Experiences and Assistant Director of Pre-Clinical Field Experiences

Dear all, Please help me welcome our new Director of Clinical Professional Experiences and our new Assistant Director of Pre-Clinical Field Experiences. Dr. Lorena Claeys has been selected as the Director of Clinical Professional Experiences. Dr. Claeys has over 15 years of successfully managing the Academy for Teacher EXcellence Research Center. She has experience in preparing undergraduate and graduate teachers, teaching middle level math and science in a ESL setting, and district coordinator experience. Additionally, she has attained numerous grants and published in the area of teacher preparation. Dr. Youmna Dbouk has been selected as the Assistant Director of Pre-Clinical Field Experiences. She has worked as a teacher and administrator at the P-12 level, has experience conducting research in P-20 settings, and was a professional development consultant. Most recently, she was a instructional coach and mentor for English Language Arts teachers. Working with faculty as well our leadership team, Drs. Claeys and Dbouk will provide expertise for critically examining and transforming the quality of field and clinical experiences for our candidates and support our efforts to become a model Educator Preparation Program.
