TEACHER RESIDENCY MODEL Interested in a new model of educator preparation to start this fall in the Northside ISD? Registered for EDU 2103 for fall 2017? The Teacher Residency Model will ensure that new teachers are adequately prepared and supported to teach on day one. Here are the details: We are working with Northside ISD to develop teachers to teach in Northside ISD. The program will consist of coursework and field experiences that will take place in Northside schools. Innovative coursework, experiences in schools with faculty and students, access to innovative technology, support for TExES exam preparation, and opportunities to conduct research with faculty are just a few of the benefits of participating. Interested students must attend an Orientation session on Tuesday, June 13, 10:00-11:00 am, in MB 2.220. While we are interested in all certification areas, the district focus is on EC-6 Bilingual and ESL and 4-8 Bilingual and ESL teacher candidates.
