[40867229 606749439722726 3883628747529650176 o] Diego Bernal, Texas state representative and vice-chair of the House Committee on Public Education, visited and spoke to students in the Race and Identity through Pop Culture course (AAS 4013) in the African American Studies program. The students were able to ask questions and learn about Bernal's role in the state legislature. The Race and Identity through Pop Culture course is taught by Martina McGhee, doctoral fellow in the Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching.
