Analytical writing is a key skill in a student's academic and career pursuits. The Atlantic & College Board Writing Prize encourages students to apply this skill as they make connections between important historical texts and their own experiences and communities. The winner will be selected from seven finalists - one from each of six U.S. College Board regions and one international. Six of the finalists will each receive $2,500 in prize money, and the overall winner will have his or her essay published in The Atlantic and receive $5,000.
