DTC: S. Frio Street Closure – May 6-7,

The City of San Antonio will close a portion of S. Frio Street, near the UTSA Downtown
Campus, from Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. until Monday, May 7, 2018 at 7:00 a.m.
Paving operations on S. Frio St. will occur from south of W. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. to
north of W. Houston St. The closure is part of the city’s ongoing project to improve
vehicle and pedestrian routes in the area. For additional information, please refer to the
attached information sheet provided by the city’s Transportation and Capital Improvements
department. If you have questions about the project, please contact Lucio Tovar, Capital

Marcy Wilburn, service coordinator for the Center for the Inquiry of Transformative
Literacies, visited the University of the Incarnate Word to give a special presentation to
Dr. Danielle Alsandor's graduate class. Wilburn shared with the class some of the work
the center is doing in the San Antonio community, including the La Plaza Roadrunner
Readers program, the San Antonio Writing Project, the outreach literacy camps, and the
center's professional development and research projects.

mobile device into a portable interactive whiteboard. You can annotate whatever material
you have on-screen as you teach, which makes for a more interactive lesson. Besides
letting you handwrite complicated math equations or brainstorm Venn diagrams on the fly,
the app can also record the class and post it online directly from your iPad.
