These same schools, due to fear of violating school regulations, threw out large amounts of uneaten, untouched cafeteria food. Our food sharing bill, HB 367,<https://act.myngp.com/el/-2355919785525180672/4752443688573273856... addresses this problem by allowing schools to collect food that would normally be thrown away, such as unwrapped granola bars or unpeeled fruit, and to redistribute that food to the hungry students on their campuses. HB 367 will be heard in the House Committee on Public Education on Tuesday, March 14th.
