COEHDnews -- Week of Fri, July 27, 2018 Spotlight Dietetics faculty, students participate in UT Health San Antonio caregiver program<http://education.utsa.edu/spotlight/article/dietetics_faculty_... [Caregiver presentation] Students and faculty from the Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD) in the Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Nutrition, helped facilitate the Caring for the Caregiver program through the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing. Dr. Liset Leal-Vasquez (pictured), dietetic director and assistant professor in practice, has presented a workshop once a month since March on nutrition management for caregivers as part of the program's three-hour skills training. Senior students and nutrition faculty recently participated in the virtual dementia tour. The Caring for the Caregiver program aims to provide hands-on training for caregivers working with individuals with dementia.
