The College of Education and Human Development recently held the Spring 2019 Dean's
List Luncheon. The special luncheon, hosted by Dean Margo DelliCarpini and Associate Dean
for Undergraduate Studies Norma Guerra, honored undergraduate students from the college
named to the President's List, Dean's List, and Honor Roll during the fall 2018
semester.

We are looking for tutors for the following TExES content areas
• English, Language Arts, and Reading

• Bilingual (EC-6 & 4-8)
• English as a Second Language (EC-6 & 4-8)
• Special Education
• Pedagogy & Professional Responsibilities (PPR)
HIRING REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum enrollment of 6 hours in a long semester (Fall and Spring) or 1 hour in a summer
session
• Must be in academic good standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• 15 hours of upper division work in the content area with a 3.5 GPA or higher
• Recommendation rubric completed by a university faculty member attesting to content
expertise
• Passed the content TExES State Exam with a score of 250 or higher.
SALARY STARTING AT $12.50/HR

COEHD graduate assistantship

We are looking for a graduate student for a graduate assistantship working with the
Dean's office in the College of Education and Human Development. The graduate
assistantship will be for 10- 19 hours per week beginning May 2019 through August 31,
2019. Extension of the position to Fall 2019 is possible, contingent on funding.
Description of Job Duties
Work with team of faculty and administrators to explore program and policy options
associated with innovative EC-12 education in Texas. Experience with library searches,
archival research, finding and reviewing educational policy documents, and writing briefs
is preferred. Additional preferred qualifications include good interpersonal and
organizational skills; responsible, flexible and able to maintain a professional
attitude.
Qualifications
Applicant must be current graduate student in the College of Education and Human
Development. Candidates must maintain enrollment in at least three hours of graduate
course during the summer. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in graduate work, or
if entering the program, a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. Successful
experience in working with staff and students in a helping relationship is desirable;
experience in use of computers is required.
Salary
Candidates may be paid $14.00/ hour.
