[Dsc 5165-small] Dr. Victor Villarreal, assistant professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, has been selected as a 2018 Faculty Fellow by the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE). Each year, AAHHE selects 10 fellows from a competitive pool of junior faculty across the nation to participate in the AAHHE national conference and Faculty Fellows Program. Villarreal will be attending the 13th annual conference, featuring the theme “Latina/o Students: Policy, Assessment and Academic Preparation for Success,” March 8-10, 2018, in Irvine, Calif. Villarreal will present his work at the conference, receive mentoring from other scholars in the field, and work with graduate student fellows from other universities. The North Thermal Energy Plant (NTEP) will shut down boilers and steam supply to the ART, BB, BOS, BSB, BSE, CC, EB, FLN, JPL, Main, MH, MS, PE, RWC and UC from 12:01 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2017 for leak repairs and boiler upgrades. The outage will affect comfort heating (except BSE), domestic hot water for dishwashing, washing machines, showers, cage washers and autoclaves. Steam service to these buildings will be restored immediately following completion of work on Nov 4th. For additional information contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.
