Good Morning Colleagues,
There is a change to the system for submitting grant proposals that you need to be aware
of. There is no longer a separate intake form that needs to be completed and submitted. A
"Notice of Intent" is part of the routing system and will appear as the first
page of the routing form documents for any proposal. Please see details from Mr. Michael
Wood's email from the RSC.
Thank you,
Iwan

Subject: <New Instructions for Notifying RSC About a Proposal> - UTSA Routing Form
Updates
Good evening,
Please share the update below with your faculty/staff at your earliest convenience.
Respectfully,
Michael
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good evening to our UTSA PI/PDs,
If you have logged into the UTSA Routing Form system today, you may have noticed that it
looks a little different. Some updates took place over the weekend that primarily impact
the “back end” of the system used by our internal REDKE units, but there is one major
change for you as a PI –
Instead of submitting an Intake Form, you now just complete and submit the first section
of a new Routing Form (“Notice of Intent” section). Then, later, when you are ready to
route, you can complete the remainder of that same Routing Form and submit it for RSC
use/review.
A reminder that, per our 10/5/2
Rule<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2...;,
any notices of a new proposal should be submitted to the RSC at least 10 business days
prior to a submission deadline to ensure there is adequate time for review/preparation.
Steps for Notification to the RSC -
1. Log in to the Routing Form
system<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F...
2. Click on “My Proposals” at the top and select “New”
3. Complete the first page of the form (titled “Notice of Intent” at top)
4. Submit to the RSC (using button at bottom of page)
Steps for Completing a Routing Form -
1. Log in to the Routing Form
system<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F...
2. Click on “My Proposals” at the top
3. Select “Drafts”
4. To the right of the Routing Form for the project you are routing, click on the blue
box with a pencil, under “Actions”
5. Edit/complete and submit the Routing Form
6. Submit (using button at bottom of page)
If you have any technical difficulties, please do not hesitate to reach out and we are
happy to walk you through! Send an email to
RSC-ABE@utsa.edu<mailto:RSC-ABE@utsa.edu> or reach out to me or the staff through MS
Teams chat.
Thank you,
Michael
