Academy for Teacher Excellence NCLR Líderes Avanzando The Academy for Teacher Excellence (ATE) at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is partnering with the National Council of La Raza to offer the Líderes Avanzando program to UTSA and Alamo College students. Thirty college students will participate in bi-monthly, interactive workshops during the spring 2017 semester to help participants be successful in college. Topics will include building relationships, studying and time management, self-care, and financial aid. The program is targeted to Latina/o and first generation college students, though non-Latina/o and non-first generation college students are welcome to participate.
