INITIAL QUALIFICATIONS · A doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in a discipline represented in a College or School of Education; · Three years of demonstrated academic leadership at a public or private two- or four-year college or university at the department chair or higher level in a College or School of Education; and · Eligible for tenure at Nevada State College with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the School of Education. PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES OF LEADERSHIP Fullest consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated experiences and abilities in: · Demonstrated success in recruitment and retention of a diverse, non-traditional, and first-generation student population; · Effectively managed an administrative budget consistent with campus and state resources; · Successful record of hiring, evaluating and managing creative faculty and staff at the college level; · Has engaged in successful regional or national accreditation; · Keen ability to identify, develop and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external constituencies and agencies; · Demonstrated success with external grant writing and fund raising; and · Experience in leading data-driven decision-making.
