The artists are receiving a stipend to fund their work for the duration of their project using a variety of media including music, multimedia, poetry, storytelling and visual art. “It’s important for us to work closely with different community organizations and artists to create artistic projects,” said Alejandra Elenes, DRJ principal investigator (PI) and chair of the Department of Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
