The award recognized the ELL Tutoring/Mentoring Program, which was a service learning project for the ESL 3023 and 3063 classes. Tatiary Ozuna, who tutored at Carrillo Elementary School in the South San Antonio Independent School District, received the College Student Volunteer of the Year Award from Communities in Schools - San Antonio.
