I'm proud to alert you that International Deficit Thinking: Educational Thought and Practice (2020, New York, Routledge), which explores deficit thinking in 16 countries across the world, has been published and completes the trilogy of my scholarly tomes on deficit thinking.
Book no.1, The Evolution of Deficit Thinking: Educational Thought and Practice (1997, London, Falmer Press), is considered a ''citation classic." Book no. 2, Dismantling Contemporary Deficit Thinking: Educational Thought and Practice (2010, New York, Routledge) is considered a "widespread impact" book. It won the 2011 American Educational Research Association Outstanding Book Award, deemed by many to be the top national educational book award. This book also won the 2011 American Educational Studies Association Critics Choice Book Award.
