COEHD Faculty, After reading an email, we should always have the mindset of “is this email legit?, do I know this person?, what email address is it coming from?” This is where the phrase STOP.LOOK.THINK comes in! There is a GMAIL account named Dept.Chair341 that was created by Hackers for a phishing attack - to gain information. It is being sent to all faculty to get your cellphone number. DO NOT RESPOND. The message looks similar to: From: Thelma Duffey <dept.chair341(a)gmail.com&gt; Subject: [EXTERNAL] Date: February 18, 2021 at 2:46:24 PM CST **EXTERNAL EMAIL** This email originated outside of The University of Texas at San Antonio.
