Horowitz selected as a literacy luminary ________________________________ Rosalind Horowitz | Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching Rosalind Horowitz was selected as a “literacy luminary” and invited to participate in a 50-year history of research in literacy. Her research trajectory appeared in "Oral language: The genesis and development of literacy for schooling and everyday life," which was published in "Research-based practices for teaching common core literacy." The volume serves two purposes: It assembles a body of knowledge from leading literacy researchers who each draw from a long career in the field to address topics of central importance to good literacy instruction; and second, research-to-practice leaders connect research to meet new rigorous standards with attention to policy and legislation.
