Development's Consortium for Social Transformation, along with the UTSA Student Union,
and the Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion celebrated Juneteenth on
Tuesday, June 19 in the Student Union. The event included remarks from African American

UTSA Campuses: Required Elevator Inspections Scheduled for July 9 – July
20<http://education.utsa.edu/awards_announcements/article/utsa_campuse...
Elevators located throughout the UTSA Main, Downtown and HemisFair campuses will be shut
down one at a time for State of Texas required inspections, between July 9, 2018 and July
20, 2018. The five-year safety inspection of the JPL elevators will be performed on July
12, 2018. For additional information, contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.
UTSA Benefits Annual Enrollment is

Benefits Annual Enrollment is the period when you may change your benefit elections and
add, update, or remove dependents from coverage. The period runs July 15 to July 31,
2018.
HR Benefits Office will host its Annual Enrollment Benefits Fair on Wednesday, July 11,
2018.
-MAIN: 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Business Building near the University Room
-DOWNTOWN: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Durango Building near River Walk Room
Three benefits presentations (two in English, one in Spanish) will be held at the
University Room, BB 2.06.04, and another will be at the DB River Walk Room 1.124. Register

On Thursday, the University of Chicago announced that it would no longer require the
ACT/SAT for admission, becoming the most-selective institution ever to adopt a
test-optional policy. With that, the South Side campus caused an admissions-obsessed
