COEHD alumna named NISD First Year Educator of the

Northside Independent School District (NISD) recently named Lorena Herrera as the
2013-2014 First Year Educator of the Year during their annual district-wide awards
ceremony in March. Herrera, a graduate of the College of Education and Human Development
(COEHD) at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), was one of three teachers
district-wide selected to receive an award in the First Year Teacher category.

(COEHD) Department of Educational Psychology presented their research at the third annual
UTSA School Psychology Symposium and Reception on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Downtown

COEHD professor named President Elect of
TABE<http://education.utsa.edu/news/article/coehd_professor_named_pres...
Dr. María Arreguín-Anderson, assistant professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary
Learning and Teaching, was named the President-Elect for the Texas Association of
Bilingual Education (TABE). Arreguín-Anderson will be officially installed as
President-Elect this June and will assume presidency in June of 2015.
