As a result of inquiries and discussions on this issue, International SOS agreed to offer this enhanced service to UT Travelers. This is in addition to the identity theft protection that was offered in the notification that went out on October 16, 2013. It is important to stress that there has not been an expanded or a new breach. There were only about 400 people who took advantage of the original offer for ID protection. This new offer is being extended to the entire group of UT System travelers (approximately 12,000) who received the original notification. They will have 90 days to take advantage of the new offer. The 400 people who did enroll in the original ID protection will need to enroll in this as well if they want this service. This enhanced service includes the following: * Credit Monitoring with the three credit bureaus * Non-Credit Loans - monitors if a Payday loan has been opened using an element of an individual's identity * CyberAgent - continuously monitors criminal chat rooms, news groups and other websites where criminals trade stolen identities. * Social Security Number Trace - monitors and notifies when fraudulent names, aliases and addresses become associated with a customer's SSN * Change of Address - monitors and reports if an individual's mail has been redirected though the USPS * Court Records - includes information from county courts, state courts, the Department of Corrections, the Administration of the Courts and other legal agencies that matches your name and date of birth * Sex Offender Reports - provides alerts and reports to discover and monitor registered sex offenders living in their immediate area, and be notified if a sex offender fraudulently registers in their name As you may recall, my personal information was potentially exposed in this breach. CSID has provided me a PIN and I have tested the enrollment site and experienced no problems. The following email will be going out at the end of next week from CSID.
