FW: San Antonio Communities in Schools-UTSA Collaboration and Conference

Greetings COEHD Colleagues,
I hope that you had a great summer. HCAP and COEHD are partnering with San Antonio, Communities in Schools (https://www.cissa.org/<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cis...>) to host the annual Whole Child Whole Community Conference on November 3rd. This conference serves as an opportunity for UTSA to build a relationship with CISSA and our local school systems.
A description of the conference can be found below as well as instructions for registering as an attendee or submitting a proposal to be a presenter. Conference activities will occur on UTSA's downtown campus.

As we begin a new school year, educators and youth service providers are searching for tools to support the whole child and their mental health needs. School and community leaders are seeking to expand their knowledge to better advocate and address systemic barriers with hopes to build a more equitable future. Focusing on the whole child requires the whole community to come together. As the largest mental health provider in schools, Communities In Schools of San Antonio is excited to invite you to attend the Whole Child Whole Community Conference<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsecure....>- a day dedicated to connecting, healing, and belonging. In partnership with The University of Texas at San Antonio, we hope you will join us for this cross-sector collaborative effort to build an equitable path for future generations. Tickets are $100 per person ($50 per student) and the registration deadline is Friday, October 7th. Please share this with your team and network. ETS is seeking college seniors as well as faculty/advisors interested in participating in a research study on holistic admissions. The purpose of our study is to understand the goals of admission policies and how stakeholders in the system are affected. We are particularly interested in:
* Senior students’ experiences with graduate admissions, particularly how they decide where to apply, their understanding of how admissions decisions are made, and their feelings about holistic admissions processes.
* Advisors and faculty members’ experiences in working with students who are applying to graduate school.
(Advisors/ faculty members will receive a $100 virtual Amazon gift card for participating in an interview, students will receive a $50 virtual Amazon gift card for participating in an interview, students will receive a $10 virtual Amazon gift card for completing a survey)
